HSKIN 4-Step Wound Care Kit — Coming Soon
The HSKIN 4-Step Wound Care Kit — a complete wound-care routine for hidradenitis suppurativa and complex skin, created by a woman who has HS.
What's inside:
- Step 1 — Calcium Alginate ×4 — absorb
- Step 2 — Sterile Honey Gauze ×4 — treat
- Step 3 — Dimora Hydrocolloid Covers (4×4) ×4 — protect
- Step 4 — Dimora Transparent Dressings (6×8) ×2 — cover and secure
Absorb, treat, protect — in that order. Add this routine to whatever your doctor tells you to do — it complements your treatment, it never replaces it.

Why These 4 Steps
HS wounds tunnel — and they don't stay on top. So this kit isn't four random dressings. It's a sequence, built the way wound care itself works: handle the drainage, set the wound bed, seal it, protect it. Each step has a job, and the order matters.
Step 1 — Calcium Alginate · Drainage
A seaweed-fiber dressing that turns to a soft gel on contact with drainage and absorbs it, so fluid doesn't sit on your skin or break down the skin around the wound.
The science: clinical HS wound-care guidance describes alginate as highly absorbent and uses it for moderately draining HS wounds; it can absorb 15–20× its weight in fluid.
Step 2 — Medical Honey · The Wound Bed
A medical-grade honey dressing for the wound bed — honey is acidic and pulls moisture from bacteria, and Manuka's active compound keeps working in wound fluid.
The science: a 2026 systematic review of 22 randomized trials (Cureus) found honey dressings shortened healing time and showed antibacterial effects in surgical wounds and burns.
Step 3 — Hydrocolloid · The Seal
A gel-forming cushion that seals the wound in its own moisture and shields it from friction, clothes, and outside germs. It goes third on purpose — a seal belongs on after drainage is handled, never before.
The science: a 2023 meta-analysis of 25 studies found hydrocolloids had the quickest healing among moist dressings (reviewed in the Journal of Clinical Medicine, 2025).
Step 4 — Transparent Dressing · The Cover
A large, clear, waterproof film that locks the system in place, lets skin breathe, and lets you check the wound without removing everything underneath. Alginate needs exactly this kind of cover to do its job — that's why it's built in.
The science: wound-dressing reviews (Frontiers in Pharmacology) describe transparent films as barriers to bacteria and liquid that allow wound inspection without dressing removal.
Please read: The HSKIN 4-Step Kit is a wound-care system. It is designed to add proper wound care to whatever your doctor tells you to do — it does not diagnose, treat, or cure hidradenitis suppurativa or any other condition, and it never replaces your doctor's care. If a wound shows signs of infection — spreading redness, fever, worsening pain — see your clinician promptly.
